Voiles Solitaires 17 est une association loi 1901, créé à l'origine par Benoit Parnaudeau et Yannick Bestaven, son but, mettre en commun les expériences de chacun, afin de préparer les courses mini dans les meilleures conditions.
Préparation technique, cours météo, suivi sur les courses, entrainements sur l'eau.. tout les points propres à la navigation en mini sont abordés durant les saisons. De ces nombreuses années d'existence, VS17 a su aligner de bons résultats sur le circuit: Corentin Douguet remporte la Transat en 2005, Xavier Macaire l'Open Demi Clé en 2008, ou encore Bertrand Delesne la première étape de la Transat .. Mais Voiles Solitaires 17 ne se résume pas à aligner des podiums, les personnalités des coureurs engagés sur le circuit sont multiples: ingénieur, préparateur, enseignant, commercial, professionnel du nautisme.. ce qui à contribuer à créer au sein du groupe des échanges permanents d'expérience en tout genre, VS17, c'est l'esprit Mini.
